Escape From Crystal Fortress

Escape From Crystal Fortress is a fully illustrated and original tabletop RPG adventure zine, released in March 2022.

Escape From Crystal Fortress contains a prison escape scenario to be used by game masters of your favourite pen and paper role playing game. This 32 paged illustrated zine will take you and your players on the journey of breaking out of their cells, discovering the secrets and horrors of this unusual prison, to finally escaping its walls.

It features annotated maps to navigate the dungeon and its surrounding areas, contains several unique and frightening monsters for your heroes to battle, along with a selection of exciting new magical items to collect. The adventure was intended to be played by low level characters and is 5e compatible.

The Crystal Fortress, a prison that floats high amongst the clouds is run by its nefarious warden, a mad tyrant named The Crystal King. Inflicted with a mystical curse that populate its hallways with shimmering red crystals and horrifying evil creatures, your heroes will need to use their wits to survive this dangerous dungeon, overthrow the crystal king and escape its fortifications.

Here are some of the horrors you will find inside the Crystal Fortress. Each monster will be complimented with a description of their behaviours and origins, along with unique statistics and abilities to incorporate them into your game.

*The harrowing wails of the Crystal Maiden can be heard bellowing through the hallways of the lower levels…*

*The Crystal King was able to harness the power of the crystals, forging them into weapons, controlling others infected with them and, curiously, he seemed to converse with them…*

It will be releasing as both a physical edition and as a digital pdf. Both versions will have downloadable assets to be used with a virtual tabletop system such as Foundry or as printable handouts for players. The maps will be released independently as well for those interested in building their own adventure inspired by the maps alone.
